Leadership Team

As president of NFP’s Executive Benefits Division, Tony leads a workforce of 175 employees in developing and delivering strategic solutions to help companies enhance their ability to attract, retain, and reward executives who are critical to the company’s growth and achievement of key objectives. With a proactive and strategic approach, he collaborates with colleagues to first understand each client’s specific needs and then design, implement, and administer executive benefits programs that provide long-term financial stability. From nonqualified deferred compensation plans to executive bonus plans to supplemental executive retirement plans, Tony has a firm grasp on the mechanics and impact of a breadth of solutions.

Tony earned a BA in language, writing and rhetoric from Tulane University, an MS in journalism from Boston University, and a certificate in financial planning from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business. He holds his NASAA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and his life, health, and accident insurance licenses.

Joe Carpenter began his career in the insurance and financial services industry in 1974. With humble beginnings as a door-to-door salesman, his passion for his work carries on today in his current leadership role where he oversees the handling of domestic and international executive benefits services. He has been instrumental in industry progress as a whole, building bank-owned life insurance marketing alliances with a number of financial service companies and intermediaries, top underwriters of fixed-income securities and providers of advisory and insurance services to community banks nationwide. Joe holds a BS in Business Management from Tennessee Technological University.

Brian Donofry is the Chief Operating Officer of NFP Executive Benefits (NFPEB). He has over 35 years of experience in the executive benefits market. Brian overseas all aspects of the executive benefits practice including consulting, legal, administration, finance and technology. Brian has significant experience assisting clients with the design and implementation of executive benefit programs including nonqualified deferred compensation, supplemental retirement and executive life insurance arrangements.

Brian’s special area of expertise involves the analytics associated with plan financing and the development of detailed financial modeling concepts that are delivered to clients in a simple, easy to understand format. Brian also possesses an in depth understanding of the accounting implications associated with executive benefit plans, life insurance carrier and product analysis, and the use of corporate owned life insurance.

Brian has been with NFPEB and formerly Renaissance/Charon Planning since its inception in 1993 and has played an instrumental role in the development of the executive benefits practice and has played a key role in the development of administrative systems and procedures and the consulting practice. Prior to joining Charon, Brian was the Manager of Administration for the executive benefits division of an international benefits consulting firm.

Brian received his BS degree in business administration from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and is also a registered securities representative of Kestra Investment Services, LLC with a Series 6 and 63.

David specializes in Executive Benefit and Deferred Compensation operations, corporate organizational matters, SEC compliance and oversight of our securities licensed registered representatives. He is involved in the plan document construction, acts as the legal liaison with outside counsel and is involved in legal matters that may arise from the implementation of our plans, placement of variable and traditional investment products and all corporate governance issues.

David is a graduate from Widener University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor, and Villanova University, where he earned his Master of Laws in Taxation. Prior to law school, David was a Cum Laude graduate from East Stroudsburg University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

David is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is currently a member of the American and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Additionally, David holds the following securities licenses: Series 24 General Securities Principal, Series 7 General Securities Representative, and Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law Examination.

Todd has over 20 years of experience working with companies on the design, implementation and administration of Executive Benefit Plans. He has consulted with hundreds of companies on executive benefits, specifically nonqualified deferred compensation plans in many different sectors. His current role is directing new business for NFP’s banking practice which currently has over 1,200 community bank clients across the country. He is a frequently requested industry speaker and published author. He lives in Brentwood, TN, and is married with three children.

Jonathan Duda joined NFP in the Executive Benefits practice office in Nashville in July of 2002 and serves in the role of Vice President of BOLI Sales Operations. Jonathan’s primary responsibilities include plan design and marketing and implementation of bank-owned life insurance (BOLI) plans to banks and financial institutions across the nation. He is also responsible for overseeing our BOLI Sales Support team, including BOLI sales, proposal, and technical product support as well as consulting services to clients for executive compensation and benefit plan needs. He provides design and maintenance of the proprietary information systems.
