Eric Johnsen, MBA

Senior Consultant

Eric specializes in the design, implementation, administration and ongoing evaluation of nonqualified benefit and fixed account-only bank-owned life insurance (BOLI) programs. He brings over 20 years of experience working with senior executives and board members across numerous industries in strategic business planning, insurance, nonprofit management, finance and marketing. Eric began his consulting career with Ernst & Young, assisting clients in financial accounting and systems design and implementation. Additionally, Eric is the CEO for the nonprofit R3, which builds modular housing villages for individuals and families exiting homelessness and/or incarceration. The unique program works with financial institutions, equity partners, construction programs and community agencies throughout California to make impactful housing and job-training opportunities available. 

In the executive benefits world, for the past 12 years, Eric has focused on assisting community banks with executive benefits and BOLI, and he is a licensed insurance executive in life, health, fire and casualty insurance. He graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Seminary as well as an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. Eric is licensed to sell BOLI in California and Arizona.
