James P. Taylor

James has over 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry. Since 2002, James has helped financial institutions resolve compensation challenges in recruiting, retaining and rewarding key executives. His work includes supporting C-suite officers, directors and other vital personnel – such as mid-level officers, key lenders, finance, IT and human resource personnel – who have high potential and provide valuable services to the institution. He tailors solutions by providing these professionals appropriately designed nonqualified plans and bank-owned life insurance (BOLI) programs. 

He served for over 20 years with First Horizon National Corporation and its subsidiaries, First Horizon Bank and FTN Financial (FTN). At FTN, James was a senior vice president of the Strategic Financial Group (2002-2008), where he assisted management and the boards of directors of many financial institutions nationwide in understanding and evaluating BOLI and supplemental executive retirement plans. James also served as a member of the First Horizon National Corporation’s BOLI Committee. He served as a correspondent banker for 12 years. 

James is a registered representative with Kestra Investment Services, LLC, and is licensed to sell variable and non-variable BOLI and other products in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. In addition to Kestra, he also holds state life insurance licenses in Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, and West Virginia to sell non-variable BOLI and other products.
